MCAA is organising a Chevening day event that will include a debate discussion – Memorising or creatively (co)constructing knowledge? Chevening scholars’ Macedonian and UK educational experiences. The aim of this event is to instigate a public discussion about the educational models that some Chevening scholars experienced while studying in the UK as compared to their educational experiences in Macedonia. Their accounts will be located along the general educational continua of: (a) how knowledge is seen across the educational models, (b) what the purpose of education is and (c) what information about learners and teachers the educational models communicate. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of creativity in the academic development of university students: its role, use and products.
