Balkan Regional Chevening Forum ‘Knowledge Shaping the Region’
Balkan Regional Chevening Forum ‘Knowledge Shaping the Region’ taking place in Montenegro. The UK Alumni Association of Montenegro (MAUK) organised the Forum to mark the celebration of the 30th Chevening Anniversary world-wide and 20th Anniversary in Montenegro. The Regional Chevening Forum was an opportunity to gather regional UK alumni experience and knowledge with the aim of exchanging opinions on various challenges and barriers that Western Balkans is facing, such as brain drain, visa regime barriers for our region, limited business exchange with the UK, and the need to improve cultural and social ties between the region and the UK. At the same time, it represented an opportunity to promote and highlight all the benefits that the Chevening Scholarship programme provides, which is one of the central activities within MAUK’s mission. One of the main aims of this Forum was to create a strong and valuable regional Chevening alumni network.
